Two moms, who had never met, connected in the spirit of generosity and gratitude. The community connection of one mother’s heart to another mother‘s heart, where one helped the other accomplish daily tasks for her family, was the most beautiful portion of all of this! 

This single mother embraced all the guidance her mentor provided, from budgeting to enhancing her parenting skills. One strategy that really resonated with Amy was the importance of regular family meals. She has since made it a daily routine, and she shared that her kids have responded very positively to this time together. Through mentoring, Amy is already noticing a positive shift in their family dynamics.

In the aftermath of tragically losing her son, Sharyl moved herself and her grandson to a new community, leaving everything behind. She reached out to Salty Family Services for help and was connected with a mentor. She and her grandson were sleeping on air mattresses and their apartment was without any other furniture.

Before Robin found Salty Family Services, she was navigating a divorce, entering the workforce after ten years, living out of her car without family help, and juggling the stress of trying to be the best mother to her four children. In the midst of one of the most challenging times of her life, a friend suggested she reach out to SFS.

When life seemed overwhelming, this single mom found hope through faith and the kindness of others. From job loss and car repossession to a new job and a donated vehicle, she's witnessed God's incredible mercy.

CC, a mother of three, received a devastating diagnosis of a brain tumor. Yet even in the face of such adversity, her faith deepened. While being mentored, CC chose to be baptized to solidify her relationship with Jesus.
