Breaking the Cycle: How Prevention Is Keeping Families Together

For the past 10 years, Salty Family Services has remained steadfast in its mission to Rescue, Serve, and Empower families, working to prevent child abuse and neglect. Through the dedication of our staff, volunteers, partner churches, and generous donors, we have witnessed a meaningful transformation in our communities.

The CEO of Community Partnership for Children, the lead agency for foster care in Volusia and Flagler counties, recently shared an incredible milestone. The number of children removed from their families due to abuse and neglect has reached an all-time low of 507, a dramatic decrease from the previous average of 800-1,000. She emphasized the impact of prevention efforts, stating, "The low number of children being removed from their families is from all the prevention work. And the things you all (SFS) are doing are helping every day to keep families together."

This achievement is a testament to the power of proactive and compassionate intervention. By walking alongside families in crisis, providing mentorship, resources, and support, we are seeing lives changed and families strengthened. Together, we are making a lasting impact, ensuring that more children can remain in safe, loving homes. We are thankful for all of you who support this ministry and our efforts. Your support is what makes this work possible.
