The Power of Prayer

Keyondra, a single mother of 5, initially reached out to us requesting help with car repairs. This is not a financial area in which we provide assistance, however, as we spent more time talking to her, we learned she needed help with utilities as well. Most importantly, we quickly realized she was highly motivated to enter our mentoring program. She has been consistent in meeting with her mentor and is open to the guidance offered. 

As our mentor began meeting with Keyondra, the details of her transportation challenges became more evident. Her car was repeatedly in need of repairs. She had to rely on others for rides to work. At one point a fellow church member provided a vehicle for her to use, but only for a short time. This put an enormous strain on her. Yet through it all, she persevered in her faith.

Keyondra stepped out boldly, submitting a prayer request asking that God lead someone to donate a car. Within two weeks, her prayers were answered and she received a working vehicle. This not only saved her from additional car repair expenses, but assured her of reliable transportation to work. We delight in such tangible evidence of God’s grace

The story doesn’t end there. Keyondra continues to meet with her mentor, developing a budget and identifying areas in need of adjustment. This willing heart provides hope for a transformed life as she goes forward.
